40th Anniversary Dinner - 18th October 2008

Some photos taken at the Dinner held at Porter Field celebrating the 40th Anniversary of model aircraft flying as TMAC. The president Mr Peter Stevenson welcome all guests to a night of good food & many memorable stories of years gone by.

Wil Sipma was the host with the most, supplying all with roast pork & lamb cooked fresh at the field. With the aid of many helpers Wil managed to serve all 148 members & guests, this was topped off by live music from a 3 piece band.

Some DVD's were played with footage of past air shows & general flying at TMAC which were complied by David Gibbs, who was awarded the Life members trophy by Peter Stevenson for all his efforts this year. Another trophy was awarded to Mike Ross (Buster Danvers Trophy) for commitment & persistence to aero modelling.

Mick Warren performed some night flying with his helicopter which was enjoyed by all. Some more night flying was done by Doug with his electric flying saucer which truly kept you guessing on which direction it was going to go & how he got it up there.

The evening was a huge success & is a huge credit to Wil, Dave, Doug, Gregor & all the many helpers who took part in producing another page in the history of TMAC.
